Description

Description

Egg Power, the clean energy investment arm of Liberty Global, has acquired the rights to the Chirmorie wind farm project in Scotland from Coriolis Energy and Electricity Supply Board (ESB). The wind farm will be installed in South Ayrshire, with construction slated to begin later in 2026 and scheduled to go online in 2028. It is expected to produce around 275,000 MWh of electricity annually, offsetting more than 120,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually. This will be Egg Power's first onshore wind asset, complementing its portfolio of three solar parks totaling 142 MW, set to be commissioned in 2027. The acquisition follows Egg Power's GBP 400 million debt deal in early 2026 to finance up to 500 MW of renewable capacity across Europe.
