Description | Information Eastern Coal Fields Limited [ECL] has come up with Chitra East OC with a ticket size of 513.98 INR Crores. This project in Coal sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Notice to Proceed and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project Chitra East OCP is a Brownfield Project. Coal production started from the existing mines since nationalization in 1975. Project Report of Chitra East OCP 2.50 MTY has been prepared merging two existing quarries namely Chitra A & Chitra B in February, 2007. CIL Board approved the PR in partial outsourcing mode in Aug,2007 with additional capital investment of Rs 112.69 crore. EC of Chitra East OCP 2.5 MTY has been approved by MOEF in March, 2010. Owing to escalation in land cost and other major costs towards Rehabilitation of villages, RCE of Project Report of Chitra East OCP has been approved by CIL Board in Aug 2018 with an additional capital investment of Rs 513.98 crore on partial outsourcing option. FC: Stage II for 124.28 Ha accorded on 10.07.2019. In partial outsourcing mode, total coal and partly OB is to be excavated departmentally as per the departmental mine capacity. Balance OB beyond the departmental mine capacity will be removed by outsourcing means. Target for FY 22-23 is 1.50 MT, Achievement for FY 22-23 is 1.03 MT, Target for FY 23-24 is 1.60 MT, Achievement for FY 23-24 till Jan-24 is 1.329 MT. |
