The aim of the project is to expand application-oriented training. The development loan will primarily finance the equipment for the practical training of students and the construction of a new building (Comprehensive Laboratory Building). Due to the constant growth of the industrial city of Chongqing, there is a very high demand for qualified specialists and it is expected that this demand will continue to rise. Currently, more than 85% of employees only have a secondary school education level, and less than 20% have received specific vocational training. The project will help to overcome the investment bottlenecks and to achieve the goals set in the five-year plan for the field of vocational training in Chongqing. A higher supply of qualified specialists and improved career options for graduates will have a positive effect on the economy of the region, including the neighboring, still underdeveloped provinces such as Sichuan and Guizhou.
