Description | Chunchi Doddi Mini Hydel Scheme was a 10.25 MW run-of-river hydro power plant located on Arkavati River near Chunchi Doddi Village in Karnataka. The project was developed and operated by Sai Spurthi Power (P) Ltd., a subsidiary of Greenko Group. It has 3 units and was operational since 2005. Sai Spurthi had a PPA with to Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) for 10 years. The project is registered under UNFCCC's Clean Development Mechanism. Total cost of setting up of the project was estimated at US$12.3 million. The project was commissioned in April 2005. |
