Objectives: Cinekid Festival is an international film festival for children in Amsterdam and throughout the Netherlands, every October. As a long running children’s film festival, Cinekid Festival is a quality label for children media productions in the Netherlands. Every October we present a wide-ranging and diverse film programme every year that amazes, entertains, connects and contributes to the development of our audience into independent, conscious and well-thinking global citizens. For our 37th edition in 2023 and our 38th edition in 2024, we hope to further develop our programme, by increasing the geographic and thematic diversity of our selection. Next to that Cinekid will innovate their digital products by undergoing a digital transformation in the coming two years. Activities: Organizing two international film festival aimed toward young audience between 3 and 14 years old. Various activities where theaudience can interact with films and talent, such as during questions and answers talks after film screenings, masterclasses and interactive workshops with actors, directors, and specialists, interactive quizzes and meet & greet-sessions and performances on our outside stage. Type and numbers of person benefiting from the project: Children, parents and caretakers and professionals. Between 60.000 and 65.000 in 2023 and 65.000 and 70.000 in 2024. Expected results: Growing our number of European non-national works in the programming from 93 to 121 works in 2023 and maintaining that number in 2024. Growing our audience number from 59.000 to 62.500 in 2023 and to 65.500 in 2024. Type and number of outputs to be produced: Two film festivals, one in 2023, one in 2024.
