Description

European Metals Holdings is evaluating replacing two gas-fired rotary kilns with a single gas or electric tunnel kiln at its Cinovec lithium project. This change aims to reduce capital expenditure by about US$112 million and annual operating expenses by US$10 million, while maintaining the project schedule and simplifying construction. Further optimization of the lithium chemical plant flowsheet combined with the tunnel kiln option could reduce operating expenses by US$64 million annually and enable the project to run on green electricity, lowering its carbon footprint.
