Description | The City of Colorado Springs completed construction of the westbound bridge as part of the Circle Drive Bridges Project. The project involved replacing two sets of aging bridge structures on Circle Drive, carrying two lanes of traffic in both directions over Fountain Creek, railroad tracks, Las Vegas Street, Hancock Expressway, and the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail. The original bridges were built in 1963 and were rehabilitated until 2018, after which a study determined replacement was necessary. The final design was completed in 2022, with the eastbound bridge completed in late 2024 and the westbound bridge completed in 2025. |
