Description
Description | The project aims to enhance the well-being, social inclusion and empowerment of marginalized youth (18-25 years old) through circus sport-based activities, creating an inclusive environment fostering personal growth. Marginalized youth, confronted with socio-economic disparities and limited resources, are disproportionately susceptible to mental health challenges and social exclusion. Circus activities, an amalgamation of physical movement, creative expression, and community involvement, hold immense potential in mitigating these challenges. The artistic and collaborative nature of circus arts has shown to uplift self-esteem, alleviate stress, and foster a sense of belonging, particularly beneficial for marginalized youth navigating complex socio-economic circumstances. Specifically, the project aims to: 1. To enrich the understanding of good practices and impactful strategies related to the use of circus for youth empowerment and well-being. 2. Design a Comprehensive Circus Activities-Based Curriculum and Enhance Trainers’ Capacities (on circus skills and on promoting wellbeing and social inclusion through circus) 3. Empower Youth and Promote Inclusivity and Wellbeing Through Circus Activities 4. Strengthen the capabilities of partner organisations and their staff in effectively utilizing circus activities as a tool for well-being and social inclusion. |
