Description
Description | The iconic Citgo sign in Boston is being moved slightly from its current location atop Kenmore Square. The sign will be relocated 30 feet higher and 120 feet to the east on the roof of 660 Beacon St, which is undergoing redevelopment. The project aims to restore and preserve the original viewshed corridor for the sign. The work will be done in two phases over six months: dismantling the sign including removing letters and logo by July, followed by rebuilding it in the new permanent location by fall. Efforts will be made to minimize the time the sign's lights are off during the move. |
