CitiMeasure - using citizen measurement to create smart, sustainable and inclusive cities

The CitiMeasure project envisions to ensure a higher quality of life in cities by involving European knowledge and expertise to improve the governance and inclusivity of citizen measurement initiatives throughout Europe. The project will support a move from the current fragmentation of initiatives, lack of awareness and limited capitalisation on tools and results, to mainstreaming both the use of tools by citizens and the use of the data produced for policy purposes by public authorities. The action will deliver an analysis of the current European situation and provides the authorities with three tested instruments on how to improve internal structures and processes related to local measurement initiatives, supporting the outcomes of different city measurement initiatives to be compared, safeguarding the digital inclusivity of city measurement initiatives and connecting city measurement initiatives’ information to behavioural change and municipal policy. The action will also deliver a knowledge infrastructure so that acquired knowledge can be shared using an upscaled European methodology.
