CITIZENS' ENGAGEMENT AND PARTICIPATION

2026-07-22

The subject of the presented project is a citizen-centered event based on a bottom-up approach and giving Europeans a space to name their expectations towards the European Union. It gives citizens a greater say in shaping future policies and formulating the Union's ambitions, thereby increasing its resilience. Citizens' participation in these events will reflect the diversity of Europe. Our goal is to encourage optimal cooperation with all countries. The highest interest is the democratic development of all parts of Europe. Together, we want to contribute to building a European security architecture based on effective, functionally complementary and mutually reinforcing cooperation and coordination within existing European and transatlantic institutions. In order to preserve and promote cultural cohesion, the mutual transfer of values in the fields of culture, education, science and the exchange of information will be intensified. All activities implemented within the project are aimed at strengthening stability in the European region. We believe that together we have a stronger voice, we can be heard more intensely than individually. Specific objectives of the project: - promote the exchange of information between citizens of different countries, - to give citizens the opportunity to discover the cultural diversity of the European Union and to understand that European values and cultural heritage are the basis of a common future, - guarantee peaceful relations between Europeans and ensure their active participation at local level, - to strengthen mutual understanding and friendship between European citizens, - strengthen cooperation between municipalities and the exchange of best practices, - promote good local governance and strengthen the role of local and regional authorities in the European integration process.
