Citrullo International is an independent production company founded in Rome in 2001, focused on author driven projects for the international market. Our aim is telling unique stories with a strong creative component and fostering talented filmmakers with original visions, while working with a global network of high-profile partners and collaborators on cutting-edge projects. Our catalogue includes documentaries, fiction films, minority co-productions and executive productions, which have premiered at important festivals and been released in numerous territories. Our goal is to consolidate our position as a high profile, author driven, production company, locally and internationally, and to grow our company’s turnover and size by being more consistent in our yearly output. We aim to continue to widen the scope of our productions entering the world of series, diversify our partners, assure greater releases for all our films, increasing and stabilizing our participation to major festivals, while maintaining high quality development. We are therefore focusing on expanding our portfolio to arrive at a steady production workflow. We want to continue to work with both renowned authors on bigger scale films from an artistic, productive and financial point of view and talented young directors on their first features, while also approaching new audiovisual markets and formats. The Slate of projects we are presenting is representative of this direction: three feature films (Fish, Notturno Salentino and The Isle of the Flying Women), including a first feature, and a series (AV-9). Obtaining MEDIA financing for Slate development will allow us not only to have adequate resources for the development of these challenging but exciting projects, but also to achieve a better and more consistent planning of our company’s activities, schedules and working strategies and to consolidate our profile as producers of high-quality arthouse products aimed at the global market.
