This project consists of the supply and installation of backup power generator at the Barrowtown Pump Station (BPS) in Abbotsford. There is no backup power system to maintain pumping operations in the event of a utility power failure, and widespread flooding could occur within 2-7 days depending on weather. Providing backup power capacity for the BPS will increase flood resilience in the event of a utility power failure, and prevent catastrophic flooding in Sumas Prairie. The project works will include: -Develop scope of work; -Engage a Qualified Professional through a Request for Proposal Process for the proposed scope of work -Review available information; -Relevant approvals; - Investigate, Design; -Prepare contract drawings/spec -Engage a contractor through a Request for Proposal Process for the proposed scope of work -Supply and Install Backup Power Generator -Prepare final documentations
