City of Humboldt Storm Water Detention Pond

The objective of the project is to build a recessed storm water detention pond to resolve surface flooding issues and damage to properties in the Carl Schenn Park area during extreme rainfall events. The scope of work includes building a recessed detention pond, installing approximately 570m of pipe, landscaping and road repairs. By diverting the storm water from neighboring areas during extreme heavy rainfall events, the improvement allows the City of Humboldt to increase stormwater retention, manage impacts to adjacent properties and better adapt to the climate change impacts of extreme weather events.
