Description
Description | The project consists of building a new indoor aquatic facility. The new indoor aquatic facility achieves the outcomes of the Climate Change Mitigation category as it will be roughly three times more energy efficient per square meter compared to the existing facility, and it will utilize various clean energy technologies. Natural gas combustion will not be used to supply the heat requirements for the pools and space heating. Instead, the new Aquatic Center is assumed to run on 100% electrical power, with no fuel combustion. Conceptual design for the Project foresees energy savings of up to 30-40% using various energy-efficient technologies. |
