Description

The City of Rossland Water Treatment Plant Upgrades Project will complete numerous improvements to their water treatment plant. The project includes upgrading the plants disinfection system, as well as upgrading the control system and adding a backup power source for the plant. These combined upgrades once completed will satisfy both current and future BC Interior Health Guidelines as well as meet the he new system will use sodium hyperchlorite in a liquid form which would replace the existing chlorine gas to meet the Canadian Drinking Water Quality Guidelines. - Installation of a soda ash system for pH and alkalinity adjustment; - Installation of liquid chlorine injection system; - Decommissioning of existing chlorine gas and ozone system; - Installation of water filter turbidity meters; - Installation of telescopic valve actuators; - Installation of a permanent standby generator; - Upgrade SCADA system to include new equipment; and, - Related civil, and electrical water system upgrad
