City of Saskatoon Montgomery Place Drainage Strategy

The main objective of this project is to improve surface drainage in the Montgomery Place neighborhood to reduce residential flooding. The project involves re-constructing swales (i.e.drainage ditches) along City right-of-way to direct storm water to the underground sewer system. The Montgomery Place does not have underground storm sewer infrastructure and relies on drainage ditches and culverts to transfer storm water to the nearest storm sewer network downstream of the neighborhood. Approximately 8 km of drainage ditch and right-of-way crossings will be constructed in the Montgomery Place Drainage Strategy.
