Description
Description | A city-commissioned report by Planners and Engineers Collaborative (PEC) found that the City of Temple's water infrastructure does not consistently provide the necessary flows and pressures to adequately support fire protection. The system was found insufficient to provide reliable fire protection capacity, with hydrants producing between 418 and 699 gallons per minute at 20 PSI, some falling short of minimum fire protection requirements. The city had a residential building moratorium due to water supply issues but continued approving large industrial projects. The city approved spending up to $40,000 on a water model simulation to analyze and identify potential improvements. |
