City of Whitehorse Downtown Reconstruction - Cook Street

This project will complete various replacements and upgrades to the road and sewer infrastructure for Cook Street in the City of Whitehorse in order to reduce operating costs, meet modern safety standards, and improve the function, aesthetics and safety of the area. The project will also replace the street’s underground water and sewer infrastructure, and upgrade a 1.2 km road section with better definition for parking, bike lanes, driving surfaces, curbs, gutter, sidewalks and landscaping. A multi-use trail from Black Street to Ogilvie Street will also be developed. The project will result in better road, stormwater, wastewater and drinking water infrastructure for the community.
