City of Windsor Disaster Mitigation and Infrastructure Enhancement Project

This project is a group of strategically cohesive initiatives focused on strengthening the City’s resilience to natural hazards by utilizing innovative stormwater management solutions in addressing areas prone to flooding, geographical lower lying areas, drainage complications and overall storm sewer capacity. This project proposes to build, rehabilitate, and/or expand 6 assets (roadways and sewers, pump stations, stormwater management facility and one stormwater storage facility) which provide water / wastewater / stormwater essential services. This investment will improve the community capacity for more immediate flood relief, improved level of service for conveyance capacity of the storm sewer system and added resiliency within the drainage system, which will increase the community resilience.
