Description	In October 2006, Bulgaria's State Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (SEWRC) awarded a 35-year concession to Citygas for the construction and operation of a gas distribution network in the Trakia region. Citygas was 90.2% owned by Gruppo Societa Gas Rimini SpA [Italy]. Bulgaria's State Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (SEWRC) held a competitive tender for the award of the license. The four other bidders were Overgas, Acegas/Construzioni Dondi, Enel and EVN. Citygas was deemed the winning bidder and was officially awarded the license in October 2006. The project’s objective is the construction and operation of 1,700km of gas distribution pipelines and associated infrastructure that will provide a gas connection to over 1,000 industrial clients, 1,500 commercial clients and 96,000 domestic users. Citygas planned to invest 294 mln levs (US$191.6/EUR150.4 million) over the license period. Additional investment of 40 in facilities in 2010.
