Description | The Citywalk Apartment project is a new apartment development planned at the southwest corner of 2nd Street and 6th Avenue Southwest on the former Just Rite Grocery Store property in downtown Rochester. The project includes 340 residential units with structured parking. The developer will enroll two adjacent existing apartment buildings into Olmsted County's 4D Affordable Housing Program to preserve 76 units of naturally occurring affordable housing for 20 years. The project is supported by a new Tax Increment Financing District providing about $18.2 million in public assistance for the $150 million development. Construction is scheduled to start by the end of 2025 and complete near the end of 2027. |
