The general objective is to improve the living conditions of Honduran women aged 15 andolder in terms of labor force participation, sexual and reproductive health, prevention of and response to violence againstwomen, and prevention of adolescent pregnancy. The specific objectives for the target departments are to: (i) increase thepercentage of women aged 15 and older who are participating in the labor force; (ii) reduce the maternal mortality rate andthe breast cancer and cervical-uterine cancer mortality rates in women aged 15 and older; (iii) reduce the prevalence ofviolence (physical or sexual violence committed by a partner, as well as homicides) against women aged 15 and older;(iv) reduce the pregnancy rate among adolescents aged 15 to 19; and (v) expand the coverage of specialized andintegrated services for women aged 15 and older by creating and/or strengthening Ciudad Mujer Centers in the departmentsof Francisco Morazán, Cortés, Olancho, and Atlántida.
