Description

Description

In line with the EFIL 2022-2025 strategy and the Framework Partnership agreement 2023-2025, the 2025 SGA emphasizes bolstering youth empowerment and participation for more democratic citizenship and local impact. EFIL’s flagship projects will involve 400 young people (PEACE trimester exchange programme and Volunteer Summer Summit), and we will further work on expanding the network of volunteers, focusing on sustainability of volunteer structures and capacity building - by including digital tools and fostering intergenerational dialogue and cooperation. In addition, we will continue creating synergies with educational institutions involving secondary school teachers and school heads, aiming to bridge the gaps between formal and non-formal learning. The novelties of this year, in line with the specific Call objectives and the needs of our network, will be the creation of a Youth advisory body and the inclusion of youth perspectives across the work of the organisation, and providing visibility and recognition to the local impact of EFIL MOs as promoters of Active Global Citizenship. EFIL will build on the advocacy successes of 2024 related to the adoption of the Council recommendation Europe on the Move, and advocate for a strong new Erasmus+ and ESC programme 2028-2034. Finally, EFIL MOs will be supported in engaging more and more with the EU funding programmes, to expand the outreach and implementation of EU policies in the areas of youth, learning mobility and active citizenship. Complemented by the adoption of the EFIL strategy 2026-2028, 2025 is foreseen as a year where to harvest the results of three successful years, and setting the basis for a new phase.
