Description
Description | The project involves a 25-year concession agreement for the operations and maintenance (O&M) the Clark International Airport in Philippines. The agreement was signed on 22 January 2019 between Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and the North Luzon Airport Consortium, comprising Changi Airport of Singapore Pte. Ltd, Filinvest Development Corporation, JG Summit Holdings, Inc. and Philippine Airport Ground Support Solutions Inc. NLAC's bid offer represents 18.25% annual gross revenue percentage share. NLAC will develop the commercial assets, operate and maintain project facilities, and implement improvements on the new terminal. NLAC has allocated PHP 6 billion or $ 114.52 million for the improvement of the new terminal building, which is expected to serve around 8 million passengers. International Finance Corporation (IFC) acted as the lead transaction advisor to BCDA in helping structure and tender O&M contract. IFC also prepared the project and conducted competitive tenders with support from the World Bank’s Global Infrastructure Facility (GIF). The other bidder, X-Droid Consortium, comprised of Indonesia’s Angkasa Pura II, Globalport 900, Mazy Capital, and Desco, was disqualified during the bidding conducted in November 2018. NLAC was awarded the contract in December 2018. https://www.pna.gov.ph/articles/1059697 https://ifcextapps.ifc.org/ifcext/pressroom/ifcpressroom.nsf/0/FB1179416DB120EC85258399000D6932?OpenDocument https://bcda.gov.ph/bidding-clark-airport-om-landmark-accomplishment-ph-gov%E2%80%99t https://ppp.gov.ph/in_the_news/dotr-bcda-ink-clark-airport-om-concession-agreement/ |
