Description | The Western Australian Government is funding transmission network upgrades through the Clean Energy Link - North project. This involves upgrading the transmission line from Western Power's Northern Terminal to Three Springs, including a 132,000 volt line from Wangara to Neerabup Terminal spanning 26.5 km, and upgrading existing terminals and lines to 132,000 volt and 330,000 volt. The project also includes new construction at Regans Ford. The upgrades aim to support renewable energy generation and connection across the South West Interconnected System and the Mid West, enabling 400 MW of existing wind and an additional gigawatt of new renewable energy. |
