CleanMed - Accelerating Sustainable Healthcare Together is dedicated to establishing a prominent European platform that advances environmental sustainability within the healthcare sector. Its primary focus is to unite a diverse range of health stakeholders from across the European Union, fostering collaboration and innovative sustainable solutions in healthcare systems. This initiative aims to mitigate the sector's environmental impact, combat cross-border health threats arising from climate change and environmental degradation, and ultimately enhance public health within the Union. The project's core activities revolve around organising the CleanMed conference, consisting of one online event with a pan-European perspective, followed by two satellite in-person events in Brussels, Belgium, and Lille, France, which recognise and promote change within specific national and regional contexts. The CleanMed conference is designed to showcase successful projects and innovations from across Europe, inspiring the adoption of best practices and encouraging collaboration and integrated efforts among stakeholders across Member States and various sectors. Additionally, the conference will facilitate inclusive dialogues and networking opportunities among healthcare stakeholders. To achieve these objectives, the project will actively engage a wide spectrum of stakeholders, including citizens, healthcare professionals, academics, representatives from the health industry, policymakers, and others. Through these engagements, the project will educate, raise awareness, and trigger actions that can bring about transformative changes in the European healthcare sector. In this sense, the project is deeply committed to aligning with the EU4Health Programme and making a significant contribution to the development of the European Health Union. Together, we can accelerate the journey toward sustainable healthcare that benefits both our communities and the environment.
