Excavation has started for the new 67,500-seater venue, designed by sports architecture firm HKS. The stadium will feature a unique 'Dawg Pound' stand, the largest concourses in the league, and the largest locker room in the pros. The playing surface will sit 80 feet below ground due to FAA height restrictions, and the ETFE roof will cover only the playing field. The stadium is on schedule to open for the 2029 NFL season and will be part of Northeast Ohio's largest economic development initiative, including a mixed-use entertainment district. |
