Description

The aim of the project is to strengthen the (climate) resilience of vulnerable population groups, communities and ecosystems in the Somali region and thereby contribute to improved food security. In total, around 100,000 direct beneficiaries in four selected woredas in the Somali region of Ethiopia are to benefit from the project. The target group is selected on the basis of defined vulnerability criteria. The project provides in particular for needs-based measures in the field of food security. Key results are - The target group has improved food security; - The income opportunities of vulnerable households are strengthened; - The (climate) resilience of pastoralists, agropastoralists and small farmers is strengthened; - The use of climate early warning systems at the local level is expanded.
