Climate-Resilient Inclusive Development Program (Subprogram 2)

The Climate-Resilient Inclusive Development (CRID) Program enables the Government of Bangladesh to advance a result-oriented and holistic implementation of its climate agenda as articulated in the National Adaptation Plan (NAP) 2023-2050 and the Nationally Determined Contributions 2021 Update (NDC-U). It will achieve this by strengthening the intergovernmental institutional framework and policy environment, mobilizing climate finance, and mainstreaming gender equality and social inclusion (GESI). The program focuses on three reform areas: (i) enabling environment for the implementation of climate actions created, (ii) climate change adaptation priorities strengthened, and (iii) climate change mitigation actions accelerated. Subprogram 1 focused on immediate policy actions in each reform area and aligned with the short-term priorities of NAP and NDC-U in climate-critical sectors: agriculture, water resources, coastal and drought-prone zones, urban, transport, and energy. Subprogram 2 will further advance these reforms and align with the short- to medium-term priorities of NAP and NDC-U in those sectors.
