"Close to the Sun 2 is a first-person horror game, the sequel to the 2019 Storm in a Teacup award-winning game ""Close to the Sun"". The game is planned to release for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S, exploiting all the resources of the Unreal Engine 5. In the original “Close to the Sun”, the player boarded the Helios while playing as Rose. Throughout the adventure, Rose experienced things that seem to hint towards another Rose being aboard. That is true: a future version of Rose was actually guiding the player through small actions, making sure that the original Rose got off the Helios alive and with her sister’s research, a study that would completely change everything we know about physics and time. For the sake of convenience, We will hereby use “Past Rose” when discussing Rose in the original Close to the Sun, and “Future Rose” when discussing Rose in Close to the Sun 2. At the end of the original Close to the Sun, (Past) Tesla says that with the research they can bring Ada back. That is the mission in Close to the Sun 2. In Close to the Sun 2 we will get back on the Helios, exploring new areas and getting back in those we explored as Past Rose. In this new journey, Rose will have the chance to team up with Tesla himself, who will help her save Ada and, eventually, fix the anomalies created by the events that happened in Close to the Sun. All the main aspects of the game will be part of this new chapter, but Future Rose will be more prepared than she used to: the Teslatool will be her weapon to deal with Time Antibodies in her new journey on the majestic Helios. Ada has died in the original Close to the Sun, this is our chance to get her back to life. However, reviving Ada, and keeping Past Rose alive, is not going to be easy: as we learned the hard way, messing with time means putting your own life at stake."
