"Between 15-17.08.2025, the City of Ardud together with its partners Yamnytsia, Ukraina, Nagyecsed and Szakoly from Hungary, and Jaslo, Poland will implement the project entitled ""Closer to Europe, closer to tradition"". The location of the project activities will be Ardud, Romania. The aim of the project is to offer the citizens of the 5 twinned towns an organized framework, in which to experience the cultural diversity of the European Union and to strengthen the feeling of belonging to the European Union by debating current topics of European interest. The target group of the project are 260 participants from the 5 twinned localities from different socio-cultural backgrounds, aged between 18-80 years, approaching a gender balance, of which 52 participants from Ardud, and 208 international participants: 52 of participants from Yamnytsia, 52 participants from Nagyecsed, 52 participants from Szakoly, 52 participants from Jaslo, as well as a number of 5000 indirect participants. Objectives: Strengthening the socio-professional and economic ties between the participants from the 5 localities. Promoting cultural diversity among participants from the 5 twinned localities. Consolidation of the feeling of the participants from the 5 twinned localities of belonging to the EU. Promoting gender equality among participants from the 5 twinned localities. To achieve the objectives, we will undertake activities such as: debates on European topics, informative presentations about the EU, networking activities, cultural activities, etc. Working methods: brainstorming, active listening, co-creation workshops, debates, round tables, reflection groups, presentations. Expected results/impact on target groups: Consolidation of socio-professional and economic ties between participants. Strengthening the involvement of citizens and the feeling of belonging to the EU Increasing awareness and appreciation of European cultural diversity. Participants will be awareness of the gender equality."
