IFC is partnering with BEE4, Brazil's pioneering tokenized regulated exchange for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), to address the country's financing gap for SMEs and expand access to capital markets. BEE4 provides an innovative, regulated market infrastructure that reduces listing costs, enabling SMEs and market players to issue and trade equity and debt instruments more efficiently. This engagement aligns with IFC's strategy to expand SME access to finance, and modernize capital markets. The Upstream investment will support BEE4 in deepening market liquidity, expanding the product and distribution network as well as strengthening its technology and infrastructure thereby ensuring SMEs can benefit from secure, efficient, and cost-effective capital market solutions. IFC will also support BEE4 implementing additional recommendations on their E&S and Corporate Governance roadmaps.
