COMAI: Co-creation of an Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters in COMAI: Co-creation of an Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters in Artificial Intelligence to boost Innovation Ecosystems, business competitiveness and employment in Europe” aims to co-create and co-design the Ulysseus AI Joint Master programme applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) in a business context. COMAI proposes an innovative, multidisciplinary and high-level integrated transnational study programme at Master level. Therefore, leading the graduates of such Master level programme to gain the abilities and skills necessary to transform the labour market, interconnecting higher education systems and effectively contributing to the objectives of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) in digital transitions, the Digital Education Action Plan (2021-2027) and linked to the Policy area 3.5 - Jobs, growth and investment; priority: 2 - A Europe fit for the digital age. Artificial Intelligence in a business context is underrepresented in the existing catalogue of Erasmus Mundus Joint Master (EMJM); nor exist a EMJM that provides an interdisciplinary perspective. Therefore, there exists a need for a transdisciplinary and joint training such as COMAI that would provide added value to the European Higher Education Area as a state of the art, forward-looking degree, focusing on global impact, jointness, quality and employability. Co-creation, in the context of higher education, refers to joint co-production processes in which input from students, and other stakeholders, play a central role from beginning to the end of developing degrees and courses. Hence, COMAI will enhance Ulysseus European University capacities to modernise and internationalise its curricula, teaching practices and pool resources in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Additionally, it will include common mechanisms related to quality assurance, accreditation and recognition, from the European Approach for Quality Assurance of Joint Programmes.
