Description
Description | “Co-creation of an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s in Sustainable Management In Life Sciences & Engineering” to promote the introduction and application of sustainable practices and induce the transformation of development pathways in the fields of biotechnology” has been designed by the Ulysseus European University alliance, and presented by its coordinator, the MCI, in order to co-design a new, innovative, high-level integrated transnational Joint Master that meets the Erasmus Mundus Program standards. This programme will also include common mechanisms related to quality assurance, accreditation and recognition, from the European Approach for Quality Assurance of Joint Programmes perspective. The innovation of this projects lies on its co-creation and co-design approaches. Co-creation, in the context of higher education, refers to joint co-production processes in which input from students, academics, staff, public and private institutions, and other stakeholders play a central role from the beginning to the end of developing the degree framework and content, including innovative pedagogical models. The direct outcomes of these co-creation and co-design processes will be the documents of a joint program to be used as proposal for accreditation of the Joint Master and for a future proposal of an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master (EMJM) in the Erasmus + programme. The EMJM will be interdisciplinary, intersectorial and international, modular (including key transversal competences such as languages and entrepreneurship, communication skills, project and business model design), flexible and self-customizable, with embedded mobility and internships, interlinked with research and innovation. Therefore, SMILE proposes to co-create and co-design a 2-year multidisciplinary and research-driven, student-centred, flexible and modular, multilingual EMJM with the objective of preparing a new generation of graduates ready to contribute to the transition to a climate-neutral society. |
