Description | The project involves remediation of coal combustion residuals and coal ash at the former Muskingum River Plant. Activities include excavation, managing impacted materials to meet environmental standards, characterization, beneficial reuse where feasible, off-site disposal when necessary, and backfilling and grading to prepare industrial building pads. The cleanup will support redevelopment and plans for a large-scale industrial project expected to generate 120 new jobs and retain 175 existing jobs. |
