The Carvão de Candiota/RS project consists of 11 (eleven) mining processes totaling 21,353.60 hectares. The project corresponds to 4 blocks of areas to be tendered separately: Estância da Glória (4,000 hectares), Arroio Pitangueira (5,940.55 hectares), Seival II (5,413.05 hectares) and Arroio dos Vimes (6,000 hectares). The deposits have an excellent location, being close to other coal mines in operation and thermoelectric plants. Basic infrastructure is available in the region. As it is 150 km from the border, specific legislation must be observed regarding the participation of companies with foreign capital.
