Description

Description

The Coaldale Malloy Drain Phase 2B Implementation Plan (the Project) includes re-purposing abandoned raw water reservoirs with an available storage volume of 520,000 m3. The reservoirs are located in the southeast portion of the Town of Coaldale and will be re-purposed for storm water storage, providing for a cost-effective storage solution. Upstream stormwater management will be via the conversion of an existing zero-release stormwater facility to continuous release facility. The upstream facility will also provide some storm water storage to attenuate the peak flows from a storm event. Construction of gravity pipeline will provide conveyance from the upstream stormwater management facility to the downstream storage. When completed the Project will create access to approximately 540,000 m³ of storm water storage.
