Description

Description

This project is for the Cobourg Harbour breakwaters and the Monk’s Cove Park Seawall. Both structures have been eroded considerably, threatening to erode the shoreline. The primary objective of this project is the protection of the Town of Cobourg shoreline to maintain the natural environment along the shores of Cobourg and to ensure that members of the public can still enjoy the Town’s natural features. Rehabilitating the shoreline protection assets in these two locations will also incorporate new designs to provide greater protection against rising water levels on Lake Ontario. This will provide greater resiliency against shoreline erosion, storm surges, and flooding.
