Coca-Cola Reverse Vending Machines Project

Under Construction

Coca-Cola India has introduced innovative reverse vending machines (RVMs) in East India to boost plastic collection efforts. These machines allow consumers to insert empty Coca-Cola bottles, which are then compacted and stored. Users are rewarded with points via a mobile app for every bottle deposited, which can be redeemed for discounts on Coca-Cola products. Each machine can hold up to 800 bottles before collection and recycling into new products such as clothes, bags, or packaging. The project aims to increase awareness of plastic pollution and encourage recycling behavior among consumers.
