Description

Description

The City of Moncton needs to replace four (4) buses that have exceeded their life expectancy (2001 and 2004 Moncton buses will be replaced under this Agreement). A detailed procurement process has been undertaken to award a Canadian based supplier of 40 foot diesel transit buses through an Request For Proposals (RFP) process to obtain the best possible price and maintain a standard specification enabling optimal maintenance and inventory efficiencies. The RFP is active and remains available to place an order promptly. The four (4) buses will be assigned to City of Moncton transit routes as replacement buses to support daily transit service delivery in our Region. This purchase will permit current transit service levels to be sustained into the future and replaces outdated equipment with new technology to foster improved passenger ridership. This investment supports accessibility goals, climate action change, quality of life and the economy by ensuring public transit remains an affordable, available mobility option for all citizens.
