This project aims to conduct cognitive testing of the newly developed variables of the EU SILC 2027 ad hoc module to to assess mental health and wellbeing. The primary objective is to evaluate the clarity, reliability, and validity of the questions, ensuring that they accurately measure the intended psychological constructs. Cognitive testing will involve a series of think-aloud interviews, where participants will be asked to respond to the questionnaire while verbalizing their thought process. This will help identify potential areas of confusion, misinterpretation, or ambiguity in the wording of the questions. The findings from this testing will provide valuable insights into the effectiveness of the questionnaire, allowing for necessary revisions before its broader implementation. The ultimate goal is to create a reliable, user-friendly tool that can be utilized in research, clinical, and community settings to improve mental health assessments and interventions. The project covers the cognitive testing, the data collection and database set up and sending to Eurostat.
