Description
Description | „Cohesion heroes: Best practice and perspectives from Romania” is proposed by G4Media, a top online quality news outlet in Romania and Europuls, a top EU policies think-tank activating in Romania and Brussels. Ever since its accession in 2007, Romania has been a net beneficiary of the EU cohesion funds. The country received EUR 89.4 billion in EU funds since 2007 and the net flow balance has exceeded EUR 60 billion. While these facts represent an undisputed argument of the benefits that the cohesion policy brought to the economic progress of Romania since its accession, not all the Romanians are aware of the positive effects. Throughout the project proposed, COHERO4EU we aim to first, transparently inform the Romanian general and specific target audiences about the benefits of the EU cohesion policy and second, to increase the awareness of European funds impact. These objectives will be achieved through a series of activities: video and written content that highlight the impact in local communities, at grassroot level, of European cohesion funds, testimonials from the beneficiaries; general public and specialized public engagement, local and international events; public opinion survey and social media quizzes. We aim to publish over 280 pieces of content, over 580 posts on various social media channels and to get to an estimated reach of 680.000 on social media platforms. For direct interaction and engagement with the target groups we will organize 5 offline events: local, national and international, with an estimated number of at least 310 physical participants in total. In terms of sustainability, the content published in the specially created sections on the websites of G4Media and Europuls websites, will remain after the end of the project and they can be accessed without time limit. Both partners will include constantly, on the long term, updates on Cohesion Policy topics in order to keep the Cohesion Policy and its future development on public agenda. |
