Cohesion in Europe in a Rapidly Shifting Environment - Outlooks on the Future of Green, Growth and Us as Europeans in a Changing World The set goals for the project are varied but connected by the theme of the future of Europe: we wish to present and debate issues such as social cohesion, cultural identity, euroscepticism in light of ongoing geopolitical developments, attitudes towards the environment, energy dependence and possible energy independence, and the world that we will leave for the coming generations; all issues that - to varying degrees - are on the minds of most Europeans. In a world that is rapidly and sometimes drastically changing, Europe needs to look in on itself and recognize its core values in order to face the future as a strong entity, united and with common goals. While these issues may seem high minded and broad in scale, we believe that it is at the grassroots level that we must get the ball rolling. Through a series of enticing programmes, cultural exchanges, communal activities, talks given by experts in various fields, and inspiring debates we aim to reach a diverse group of people from various European countries and ask them to join us in trying to figure out what lies ahead of us and how we can best prepare for a future in a changing world. We believe that it is through such open-minded discussions that Europeans citizens can truly get to know each other, be that over the course of a lively Q&A session after a presentation or at the dinner table during a casual discussion; the programme wishes to be a platform where people can find various ways of partaking in a fundamental civic activity: the sharing and discussion of ideas.
