Cohesion Stories: Impact of European Cohesion Funds on Youth and Disability in Spain

"The ""Cohesion Stories"" project aims to effectively communicate the impact of EU Cohesion Policy by showcasing real-life examples of its benefits for individuals and communities in Spain, particularly targeting youth, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups. Over 12 months, the project will produce 11 live television programs, supported by a comprehensive multimedia strategy. These programs will highlight success stories from entities and regions that have implemented EU-funded initiatives, demonstrating the tangible outcomes of cohesion funds and their contributions to local development. To ensure accessibility and inclusivity, the project will utilize live broadcasts, podcasts, and news and social media campaigns, all adhering to accessibility standards with subtitles, sign language, and user-friendly formats. Dynamic content on platforms like TikTok and Instagram will engage younger audiences, while tailored narratives will address the experiences and needs of vulnerable groups. Associated partners, including social organizations and local governments that have implemented impactful projects funded by EU Cohesion Policy, such as the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+), will share firsthand experiences of how cohesion funds address societal challenges and drive change. Their contributions will enhance the credibility of narratives and extend the project's reach through their networks. The project aims to raise awareness of EU Cohesion Policy’s real-world impact, foster understanding of its role in inclusive social and regional development, and encourage active participation in EU initiatives. By bridging the gap between policy and citizens through accessible storytelling, the project will inspire trust in EU policies and empower individuals and organizations to engage with cohesion funds."
