Cold Lake - Transit Fleet Enhancement

The Cold Lake - Transit Fleet Enhancement Project (the Project) consists of the purchase of an additional low-floor bus, with video surveillance, to replace two older buses. The Project will enhance the reliability and modernization of its transit service and increase the accessibility of public transportation for the City. The Project would maintain the City’s transit service serving two routes. This will also allow the City to continue to lower GHG emissions through increased fuel efficiency; increase public transit accessibility; and overall sustainability. The addition of a new third low-floor bus to the City’s fleet will enhance the efficiency and contribute to the increased reliability by eliminating the use of two older buses without low-floor access and provide increased accessibility for users with mobility challenges.
