Description | In December 2005, the state of Colima granted a 20 year BOT contract for a waste water treatment plant to Mexican Tecnologia Intercontinental. The facility was defined to provide wastewater treatment services in the municipalities of Colima and Villa Alvarez. The capacity of the treatment plant was agreed at 800 liter per second or 69 thousand of cubic meter per day. The estimate cost of the plant was US$25 million. The contract was awarded through a competitive tender. Finance was secured and construction began in 2006. |
