Collyhurst Village Redevelopment Project

The first phase of a massive redevelopment project in north Manchester, involving the construction of 274 new homes in total, including 130 council-owned homes for social rent. The first completions consist of 10 houses for social rent, including a specially adapted property for a household with mobility needs. The project is part of the Victoria North regeneration programme which will see up to 15,000 new homes built between Victoria Train Station and Queen’s Park in Collyhurst over the next 15 years, linked by high quality green spaces celebrating the River Irk. Construction continues to complete the remainder of the homes in Collyhurst South and Collyhurst Village alongside a new community park. The project also includes plans for a proposed new Metrolink stop at Sandhills, quality green spaces, improved walking and cycling routes, and better connections to other local neighbourhoods.
