The data centers use water primarily for cooling electronic systems powering AI and data services. The future Intel facility is expected to consume 1.85 billion gallons annually when it opens in 2031 or 2032. Columbus is also constructing a fourth $1.6 billion water plant in Delaware County to meet water demand. |
