Description
Description | Pipe rehabilitation from Manhole 72 to 75 ( Canborough St.) to Manhole 75 to 76 (Wade Rd.). The total proposed works are for the construction and installation of a structural liner, grouting, and miscellaneous service repairs in the road allowance. This is a recommended ’no-dig’ solution that reduces the impact to the area and reduced impact to the environment. The proposed works to the sewer main are also in preparation for a future project to remove inflow in this critical area. These works will be part of a series of works needed in order to achieve an ultimate goal of MOECC F-5-5 compliance. The structural liners are expected to add approximately 50 years to the life expectancy of the sewers.moderately severe and has been identified as a priority area. In 2014 - 2015 the Township completed an Inflow and Infiltration Flow Monitoring and CCTV study on its existing sanitary sewer system. The study identified key areas of sanitary sewer where deficiencies were identified including high levels of infiltration during peak wet weather events. This included sewers on Station Street, Colver Street, and Wade Road. The study noted high level event coefficient of variation (CV) of up to 15.5%, or severe. The study recommends that the areas are critical and need to be considered a priority. Additional CCTV inspections confirmed multiple sources of infiltration, including cracks, displaced joints, and infiltration gushers. A review of the sewer deficiencies determined that a full structural and service repairs within the road allowance is the best approach. |
